Universal Data Standard

Privacy Policy

Global Effective Date: October 2026. Published by Sodalit.

1. Global Privacy Commitment

This Privacy Policy applies worldwide. Regardless of whether you join an activity in New York, Baku, London, or any future launch city, your data is governed by the highest standard of international privacy law, including the principles of GDPR, CCPA, and regional personal data frameworks.

We do not sell personal data. We do not monetize your attention through third-party advertising networks.

2. Data We Process

  • Identity and Authentication: Name, verified email address, demographic preferences (such as gender indicators strictly required for Women-Only safe spaces), and age confirmation.
  • Profile Photo: An optional photo you take with the in-app camera so other participants can recognize you at activities.
  • Precise Location (When Using App): Your device’s GPS location, used to show activities near you and how far away they are. You may also save a profile location, which we use to notify you about activities nearby. We do not track location in the background when the app is inactive.
  • Shared Locations: When you share your current location in an activity chat, it is visible to the participants of that chat. The exact meeting point of an activity is only shown to people who have joined it.
  • Content You Share: Activities you post, chat messages, and photos you send. Content you share in an activity is visible to that activity’s participants.
  • Purchases: Your Ruby balance and transaction history. Payments are processed by Apple or Google; we do not receive your card details.
  • Device and Notifications: Push notification tokens, used to deliver messages, join requests, and activity updates.
  • Safety Records: Reports you submit and users you block.
  • Reputation Metrics: Show-up rates, cancellation timestamps, and host reliability statistics.

3. Biometric Data and Future Facial Verification (GDPR Art 9, BIPA, CCPA)

SODALIT does not currently collect or process biometric data.

We plan to introduce a short facial verification scan to maintain physical safety in real-world spaces and to keep banned bad actors off the platform. Before this feature is enabled for you:

  • We will update this Privacy Policy and notify you in the app.
  • We will ask for your explicit consent in the app before any scan takes place.
  • We will publish how long biometric data is retained and when it is permanently destroyed.

Planned Technical Architecture: We will not retain raw facial photographs or biometric videos on our servers. The scan will convert your facial structure into a one-way mathematical hash that cannot be reverse-engineered to reconstruct your face. It will be retained solely to confirm liveness and prevent banned bad actors from creating duplicate accounts.

4. Activity Chats

Each activity has its own group chat for its participants. When an activity concludes, its chat is automatically locked: participants can no longer send new messages but can still read the conversation history.

We do not sell conversation content or use it for advertising. Our team may review messages connected to a report in order to investigate safety concerns.

5. Right to Erasure and Instant Account Deletion (Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v) & GDPR Art 17)

You maintain the absolute right to be forgotten. Users can permanently purge their account and all associated personal information instantly inside the app:

Profile Tab > Settings > Account > Delete Account

Upon confirmation, all account credentials, profile tokens, and activity histories are permanently deleted from active databases immediately.

6. Data Protection Officer and Inquiries
